Questions about the TLSRPT lookup

What is TLS-RPT?

SMTP TLS Reporting: a TXT record at _smtp._tls that tells senders where to send daily reports about TLS connections to your mail servers.

Do I need TLS-RPT with MTA-STS?

It is optional, but without it you do not hear when senders fail to reach you over TLS.

What do the reports contain?

Counts of successful and failed TLS sessions from each sending organization, with the reason for each failure.
